Great, define “short while” or even better. How about a serious error message. Even, worse, I tried to uninstall and reinstall and now it doesn’t allow any feeds to be added. This thing is complete junk Worst of all, apple isn’t allowing me to get a refund. This app store appears to be as bad as this app. Never seems to work properly and hard to find anything.

It would deserve 5 star if we were allowed to choose the font and the size of the ticker. It’s too narrow But good value for money

Very easy to use ticker. My only wish is to have a speed control and perhaps more display options. That being said I’m happy with it and would recommend.

would like to see speed control on the scroll (needs to be faster), font is very reader friendly.

unfortunately it is not possible to custumize anything, so for me is worthless. The image of the windows where you customize things just wo’t appear. I did everything humanly posssible to do it, but there’s nothing to do they just won’t appear. Money thrown out the window. Apple should be more careful of what’s is selling

Does exactly what you want it to do. An RSS feed that you can resize and runs at a proper speed. I only wish that I could open more than one instance of it so that I could get news from different sources at the same time.

Want a news ticker? Great, buy this app. Want a news ticker you can customize? Keep searching. This app is the bare minimum of news ticker apps. Yes you can add feeds, change the position, and size of the ticker, but that’s it. I can’t resize it to stretch across my entire screen (I can stretch it a bit, but I guess my monitor was bigger than this dev intended). I can’t change the font, the font color, the typeface. The “Opaque” option doesn’t let me adjust the transparency, or ask if I’d like to make just the background opaque or the font as well. And, as someone else mentioned, you cant run more than one instance of the ticker. Add those functions into your program and you’ve got a winner. But since they’re not there right now, this app gets an adequate 3 out of 5. — Again, if you want just a news ticker, get this. If you want to customize it a bit, at all, keep searching.

I’v been looking endlessly for a good news ticker for my iMac. Next to none exist, but this was recently launched. This ticker works great! I have mutliple rss breaking new feeds at my diposal and instant article links via the ticker headline. The ticker bar is resizable and can be placed anywhere on screen. For improvements and future updates, I would suggest a “text speed” option to customize the scrolling text if a user wants it slower or faster. Overall, this app is worth it!

This would receive a much higher rating if it were not for the lack of customization, in particular the speed of the ticker and the width (and font). It would then be a super contender. For Windows the standard for me was WorldFlash and something like that is needed for the Mac. This app is a decent 1.xx version but needs some attention for user customization other than that which is given.

Idea is good, but needs improvement. speed of scrolling headlines too slow, this should be adjustable, and news source is random. It should be possible to choose one source to follow if so desired. needs some customizable options.

I am a journalism student, and this app is perfect! I can customize the ticker with multiple RSS feeds, and it constantly keeps me up to date! If a headline interests me, I can click on it and it brings me to the direct article. Thanks to this app, I feel like I am constantly in the loop. The look of the ticker is awesome; I always get complimetns from my friends when they see it on my desktop! There was only one time when I had an issue with this app. The scroll bar disappeared, but I emailed the developer and he was very friendly. He responded immediately, and fixed the problem. I highly recommend this app!

This app is really good. It is easy to customize with the news feeds you want. You can choose to have it always on top of your open windows or just let it run on your desktop, depending on how often you want to check the headlines. If a story interests you, a simple double click on the headline takes you right to the source. Fantastic! I use it both for news and professional RSS feeds and absolutely love it. Also, the developer answers feedback faster than anyone I’ve ever seen—really dedicated and cares about how the app works for people.

Works great, you can resize, customize with RSS Feed URLs (Reuters, ESPN, etc.) I would like to have ability to speed up the scroll and position on the top menu bar. But definately the app looks great on bottom of the Thunderbolt display. Simple, good color scheme and font.

I love news tickers. Have purchased every News Ticker on the app store. This one, by far, is the best. First, it’s nice and large. It’s not this tiny little ticker like the “other” Apple app. It certainly can stretch the entire length of your small Macbook to your large iMac. Adding news feeds is pretty easy. Just Google “RSS Newsfeeds” and you can find addresses to just about anything. In all, an exceptional ticker. Now the minor gripes… 1. Would like more cutomize ability such as ability to change colors of the ticker itself. Perhaps give each text feed its own color. You can make the ticker transparent, but it’s not as noticeably transparent on my Macbook than my iMac. 2. Scroll speed is probably just about right, but it would be great to make it faster for those of us who want a quicker read of all the latest news. A variable speed setting would be phennomenal. Other than that, you can’t go wrong with this ticker. Trust this ticker guy — I have tried them all and this one is the best!

I love this app, though I feel it would be made more perfect if we could increase the speed of the scroll and change the font size and style to our liking. I emailed the developer my feedback and he/she promptly responded saying that he/she will consider that maybe for later releases of the app. My fingers are crossed. Very nice work on this app. Very.

- It’s terrible how it doesn’t let you select your desired speed of news flow. It takes FOREVER to read just one headline because of how slow it is. - Sometimes it just switches to Spanish out of the blue and there’s no way to change it back to English - I’d very much like to see more customization options, especially considering it’s a paid app. Things like size of the headline bar, speed of flow, and the way the headlines are shown (for example, instead of only giving the option of a horizontal flow of text, I’d prefer to have each headline move in vertically as is the case on CNN on tv) - After a few months, I completely stopped getting any headlines. It kept saying “retrieving lastest news” but for months I got nothing. And I was always on a reliable internet source. I tried deleting the app and was going to redownload it, but it required me to pay for it again so I just chose not to. Very disappointing...

Probably the BEST news ticker I have ever come across! But lately I keep getting connection error and unable to retreive new news feed, have to quit app and launch again, but then after a while error again. Maybe is in need of an update? Thanks.
